AARI Maintains Moto Morini and Benelli 502C Prices Despite GST Increase
Indian motorcycle distributor absorbs tax hike on premium Italian bikes above 350cc to protect customers from price increases during the festive season.
Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) announced on September 29, 2025, that it will not raise prices on select Moto Morini and Benelli motorcycles despite a recent increase in Goods and Services Tax (GST) on motorcycles exceeding 350cc engine capacity. The company will absorb the additional tax burden rather than pass it on to consumers.
The decision affects five motorcycle models: the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 (₹5,99,000), X-Cape 650X (₹6,30,000), Seiemmezzo Scrambler (₹4,29,000), and Seiemmezzo Retro Street (₹4,29,000), along with the Benelli 502C (₹5,25,000). All prices remain at their previous levels and are applicable across AARI-authorized dealerships nationwide.
AARI stated the price freeze aims to prevent additional costs for buyers during the festive season. The company indicated that other motorcycles in its portfolio have received price revisions, which took effect immediately. The announcement did not specify which models faced price increases or the extent of those changes.
The GST revision on motorcycles above 350cc has prompted price adjustments across the Indian motorcycle industry. AARI's decision to maintain pricing on these Italian models contrasts with the broader market response to the tax increase.
Adishwar Auto Ride India, part of the Mahavir Group, distributes Benelli and Keeway motorcycles in India and has partnerships with Moto Morini, Zontes, and QJ Motor. The company operates through a network of over 60 dealerships and reports a customer base exceeding 20,000.
