MyTVS opens 79th outlet in Bangalore, targets 200 outlets across India in 3 years
Bangalore, June 13 : MyTVS, the multi-brand car servicing arm of T V Sundram Iyengar & Sons, plans to set up 200 car servicing outlets across the country in the next three years.
This is fourth multi-brand car outlet of MyTVS in Bangalore and seventh in Karnataka. “We are looking to open more outlets in Karnataka in the near future,” he said. The company has been operating the outlets in three models like company owned, franchise and joint ventures. Of the total 79 workshops, as many as 36 are owned by company while 31 are run by franchises and the remaining 13 are run through joint ventures with private players in the auto servicing industry.
The company has chalked out plans to have 200 outlets across the country in the next three years. At present MyTVS outlets are mostly present in four southern states and Delhi, Gujarat and West Bengal in North India. “Hereon, we will focus more toward North India,” he added.
The company is also running OEM-specific service centres. As of now, it has been running 13 service centres for Tata brand vehicles. MyTVS is in talks with several other OEMs to operate workshops exclusively for their sold vehicles.
Nigam also said the company is taking steps to open its multi-brand car service outlets in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where the demand for vehicle service has been growing.
