New safety norms to kick in this year
2017 is a landmark year for motoring in India. If the new BS IV emission regulation across all segments that kicked in last month will help tackle the growing pollution problem, the new safety norms that will be applicable from October 2017 could help save the lives of a huge number of vehicle and road users.

The new regulations, and the various other planned steps by OEMs, regulatory agencies and the concerned ministries to make Indian roads safer will definitely help the country climb down the podium of the countries with the highest road fatalities.

Road fatalities data of 2015 shows that 16 people died every hour in road accidents during the year. In an environment of new safety norms, new efforts by vehicle OEMs and suppliers, and a growing number of safety conscious consumers Indian roads are going to get safer.

As India drives towards a new phase with a revised Motor Vehicle Act, Autocar Professional brings together a panel of international experts to discuss, debate and share knowledge on new and future regulations and safety technologies, trends, best practices , opportunities as well as challenges in making Indian roads safer.

Participate in it to hear from the experts and interact with them to understand how safety is becoming a big mission in one of the world's largest automotive markets. To register, click here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/4162597473413940483
