Bosch Launches Digital Supply Chain Management Platform in India
New cloud-based suite aims to integrate transportation, warehousing and B2B commerce solutions for fragmented logistics ecosystem across the country.
Bosch has launched its Supply Chain Studio, a cloud-based platform designed to streamline India's fragmented logistics operations. The announcement came during the company's first Mobility Platform and Solutions (MPS) Summit 2025 in Bengaluru on Monday.
The new platform offers digital solutions for transport booking, warehouse management, and B2B distribution, addressing inefficiencies in India's supply chain ecosystem that still relies heavily on manual processes and lacks real-time visibility.
"We're excited to bring manufacturers, transporters, warehouse operators, and distributors onto one platform to drive digitalization in our supply chains," said Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director of Bosch Limited and President of Bosch Mobility India.
The Supply Chain Studio includes five key components: Transport Booking and Management for tracking transportation services, Warehouse Booking to match space needs with providers, Smart Warehouse for digital tracking of operations, Bay and Yard Manager for truck scheduling, and e-Distributor for B2B order management.
Developed following research into India's multimodal supply chain connectivity as outlined in the Government's Gati Shakti plan, the platform integrates with existing enterprise resource planning systems like Tally and third-party marketplaces.
Alongside the product launch, Bosch introduced the ARC Partner Program (Accelerate, Rise, Collaborate) to foster innovation with partners in logistics, electric vehicle mobility, supply chain technology, and parking management.
Bosch has maintained a significant presence in India since establishing manufacturing operations in 1951. The company currently operates 17 manufacturing sites and seven development centers across the country, employing over 39,769 associates. In the 2023-24 fiscal year, Bosch in India generated consolidated sales of approximately Rs. 37,912 crores (€4.2 billion).
The Bosch Group, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, employs about 417,900 associates globally and reported preliminary sales figures of €90.5 billion for 2024. The company's operations span four business sectors: Mobility, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology.
Founded in 1886 as a "Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering," Bosch maintains a unique ownership structure with 94 percent of its share capital held by Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, a charitable foundation, allowing the company to make long-term strategic investments.
