Elofic sets up new filter plant in HP
Elofic Industries has commissioned a new filter plant at Nalagarh in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The company is implementing a production capacity expansion programme of its filters for the domestic aftermarket.
The new facility, which commenced production on May 11, 2009, is equipped with the latest technologies and machines to manufacture new-generation advanced filters including new Eco filters and advanced spin-on, STF and air filters. To reduce dependency on outsourced components, the plant also has its own press shop for in-house quality metallic components.
The Nalagarh plant will cater to new product development in line with market demand, while the Faridabad plant will continue to cater to the bulk of the existing market.
Meanwhile, the company recently introduced its lubricating oils in the market. Sales will initially commence in Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. The company is also introducing long-life greases and re-launching silicon gaskets of improved quality.
Elofic has been an ISO-certified company since 1995, with ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification for manufacturing and ISO:9001 for all its marketing offices. Its R&D facility was recently accorded recognition by the Indian government.
