Datsun reveals Go-Cross concept

The Go-Cross, which is targeted at vacationers, will be built on the Datsun Go+ platform.

Earlier today, Nissan took the covers off the Datsun Go-Cross concept, which points to the line-up expansion of the Go+ MPV, at the Nissan Motor Corporation headquarter in Yokohama. The Go-Cross, which is targeted at vacationers, will be built on the Datsun Go+ platform.

The Datsun brand, reborn after 30 years in March 2014, has seen the rollout of the Go hatchback and Go+ MPV. Since the Go’s launch in India, Indonesia and Russia, total global sales volume is now 114,000 units. India sales of the Go hatchback since launch in early 2014 are a little less than 20,000 units and the Go+ MPV has sold around 8,500 units till September since sales began in Janaury 2015.  

Speaking in Yokohama today, global head of the Datsun brand Vincent Kobe said: "It is an important day for Datsun today. In addition to the continued expansion of sales and service network in the four markets to put the Datsun brand, we plan to expand the model line-up to three models in India. In early 2016, we will release a new model in India.”
