TNTDPC seminar on ‘green’ mobility
The Tamil Nadu Technology Development & Promotion Center (TNTDPC) of the Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with AUSTRADE is organising the fifth edition of a one-day conference on ‘Automotive R & D Trends 2015’ with its theme being ‘Cost-effective green mobility’.
• Provide a platform for knowledge and process sharing for the automotive value chain.
• Bring systemic approach to development of mobility system innovation.
• Create awareness among end-users and consumers on automotive and mobility technologies and trends.
• Ensure growth and sustainability by identifying major challenges for transportation systems.
• Bring advancement of technology for the auto industry in India.
• Assist in the development of effective policy to the government agencies.
• Help Indian industries in interaction with international networks for collaborative R&D and product development.
• Facilitate knowledge flow by working with international organisations through bi-lateral / multilateral cooperation mechanism.
The conference will have the following sessions:
• Environmental impacts of the transportation sector and mitigations.
• Automotive manufacturing – Reduce, Refuse & Reuse.
• Greener alternatives in the automotive sector.
• Mass transit, non-motorised transportation in India.

This initiative will explore opportunities for joint technology development, identify new business areas for technology development and transfer commercially available off-the-shelf scalable technologies from academic institutes, research laboratories and industries in active collaboration with research laboratories and industries, exchange programmes and industry institutional partnerships. Around 250 senior management personnel from India and abroad are expected to attend this conference.
