'We aim to have a stronger presence in the SUV segment': Kunal Behl, VP, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India

The Japanese carmaker eyes incremental volumes of up to 35 percent in the second half of FY24 with the introduction of the Elevate in the festive season of CY23.

Japanese carmaker's Indian arm Honda Cars India (HCIL) is betting big on its upcoming SUV - Honda Elevate - which was recently unveiled in New Delhi. The company pins strong hopes from the SUV, which is expected to retain loyalists, as well as bring new customers into the Honda family. 

Kunal Behl, VP, Marketing & Sales, HCIL, talks about the Elevate becoming the third pillar of growth for Honda, and bringing incremental volumes of up to 35 percent in the H2 FY24, with its slated launch during the festive season of this year. 

Behl also tells about the revamped Honda showrooms which would strive to offer a premium experience to Elevate customers, as well as the company's plans to bring an EV by 2026, and five new SUVs by 2030.
