JSW MG Motor India has introduced the Hector Tomahawk on its new ADAPT multi-energy platform, offering the SUV in both pure electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains. Dubbed by the company as a "diesel killer," the Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery pack, delivering 115 km of pure electric range for daily city commutes and an overall driving range exceeding 1,100 km. Jindal breaks down how introducing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and transparent running cost comparisons helps address upfront purchase barriers while directly challenging traditional ICE running economics.

The conversation also covers JSW MG Motor India’s plans to surpass 100,000 annual vehicle sales, managing a 6,000-unit monthly production run split evenly between EV and PHEV models, increasing domestic localization to 70% by the end of CY2027, and challenging the top spot in India's new energy vehicle space.
