With both cargo- and passenger-carrying electric three-wheelers amounting to over 1.2 million units, and forming over 40 percent of the total EV parc in India, the country is witnessing a transformation of the last-mile mobility segment which today demands solutions for the transportation of goods as e-commerce continues to rise, as well as people, who are also increasingly adopting multi-modal transportation.

Autocar Professional, in partnership with the Tamil Nadu Government, hosted the India EV Conclave in Chennai on November 21, where industry experts in a panel discussion discussed the future potential of this critical vehicle category in India.
