With EV penetration in India's passenger vehicle segment only being pegged at in low single digits, a growing participation of OEMs with new EV offerings is set to drive demand.

According to CS Vigneshwar, President, FADA, "While the EV penetration has been about 3% in the last couple of years, we must remember that electrification is just one piece of the puzzle. There are various powertrain solutions, including CNG, and biofuels that hold strong potential in India."

"Having said that, with more OEMs participating in the EV race, there will be more options for the customers, and that would drive growth in EV penetration in the country," Vigneshwar adds in this video.
