Despite the growing demand for SUVs the world over, sedans still continue to enjoy a sweet spot with car buyers in India where the said body type is often a representation of one's status symbol, as well as lends a touch of sophistication to their lifestyle. Hyundai Motor India which is a strong player in India's mid-size SUV segment has introduced its latest, sixth-generation Verna sedan, and aims to double the car's volumes with its robust attributes of style, performance, and technology.

Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India talks about how the company is bullish about growth in the Indian passenger vehicle market, despite global headwinds of a slowdown, as well as persistent supply chain constraints which are now part of the game. Garg reveals the new Verna has already garnered over 8,000 bookings within a month, and is attracting interest from young and aspirational buyers.
