In Conversation with Dassault Systemes' Manish Kumar
Artificial Intelligence is enabling companies to expedite the product design process by the multitude of choices that are now proposed by AI which learns a company's patterns based on its historical data. Dassault Systemes is integrating generative AI into one of its largest used design products - Solidworks - to fastrack development.
Automotive design relies on CAD tools, and one of the most prominent solutions available to companies globally is Solidworks from the French technology major Dassault Systemes, which is integrating generative AI into its design solutions.
The company says AI is the reality and is enabling automakers to expedite their design process by virtue of the multiple possible options suggested by AI, which learns from an OEM's past data, and comes up with new ideas based on the problem statement.
Manish Kumar, CEO, Solidworks, talks about how Dassault Systemes is enabling automotive companies to get to the market faster by delegating mundane design tasks to AI, and pinpointing the human resource to innovation, and solving critical problems. Kumar says how data analytics, and AI, are enabling companies to get relevant insights that help drive cost efficiencies.
Kumar also tells how the pandemic accelerated the shift towards cloud, and how the business model is now shifting from a perpetual license-based one to a subscription-based model.
