From 2% market penetration last year, to consistently staying above 3% in CY25, EV adoption in the Indian passenger vehicle market is growing on the back of new model introductions by multiple carmakers, says Zeon Charging's Karthikeyan Palanisamy.
Despite hovering in low single digits, the EV penetration in India's passenger vehicle market is on the upswing, primarily on the back of new model introductions by OEMs that are now foraying into the electric vehicle segment in CY25.
In this interview, Karthikeyan Palanisamy, Co-Founder & MD, Zeon Charging, talks about how Zeon Charging is carving out its strategy of strengthening its EV fast charging network in India, and how the country is set to see passenger EV penetration hitting 5% by end-2025.
