Skoda Auto India Reaches 500,000 Sales Milestone in 25th Anniversary Year

Skoda Auto India has achieved a significant milestone, crossing 500,000 cumulative sales since entering the Indian market 25 years ago. The announcement comes as the company continues its strong performance trajectory in 2025, having already registered record-breaking sales figures in the first ten months of the year.

In November 2025, Škoda sold 5,491 units in India, marking a substantial 90% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2024. Brand Director Ashish Gupta attributed the company's success to its expanding dealer network, customer-focused ownership programs, and diverse product lineup.

"Our expanding network, our value-driven ownership offerings, and wide product portfolio have been the chief driving forces that have powered our 5 lakh landmark sales and our constant year-on-year sales growth every month," Gupta said in a statement released on December 1, 2025.

The automaker has maintained a strong sedan heritage in India, with the Octavia serving as a cornerstone model throughout its 25-year presence. The recent reintroduction of the Octavia RS proved particularly successful, with all units allocated to India selling out within 20 minutes of bookings opening. The company also offers the Slavia sedan in two engine variants.

Škoda's SUV portfolio in India now spans a wide price range from Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 45.9 lakh. The lineup includes the Kylaq, Kushaq, and Kodiaq models. The Kushaq notably became the first vehicle in India to achieve a full five-star safety rating for both adult and child occupants under Global NCAP's updated testing protocols. The recently launched Kylaq has similarly earned five stars in Bharat NCAP safety tests.

The company has significantly expanded its retail presence, now operating over 320 customer touchpoints across 180 cities throughout India. This network expansion forms part of Škoda's strategy to maintain growth momentum in what the company describes as its biggest year to date.

Škoda Auto India currently offers four models in the Indian market: the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq. The parent company, Škoda Auto, delivered more than 926,000 vehicles globally in 2024 and operates as part of the Volkswagen Group's Brand Group CORE organization.
