ZF Group has showcased its latest commercial vehicle technologies at Prawaas 5.0, the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI)-organised transport exhibition being held from July 9-11 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The company displayed a range of original equipment (OE) and aftermarket solutions for buses and commercial vehicles, covering electrification, braking, chassis systems, safety, connectivity and fleet management technologies.

Among the products on display is the AxTrax 2 integrated electric axle, designed for light- and medium-duty buses. The system combines the electric motor, inverter, electronic control unit, actuator and transmission into a single axle-based package and is intended for battery-electric, fuel-cell and trolley bus applications.

ZF is also exhibiting its RL82A front axle system for low-floor city buses. According to the company, the axle offers steering angles of up to 55 degrees and incorporates internally ventilated disc brakes for urban bus applications.

"The future of bus mobility will be defined by intelligent systems that seamlessly integrate safety, electrification, connectivity and vehicle control," said Paramjit Singh Chadha, Senior Vice President, ZF CVS India.

The company's display also includes modular door control systems for pneumatic and electric bus doors with features such as clamping protection, emergency door opening and CAN-bus connectivity. Its broader portfolio on show includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Bus Connect, dampers and other commercial vehicle components.

ZF Aftermarket is presenting products including 360-degree camera systems, brake rotors, brake pads, brake linings, power steering pumps, coolants and greases targeted at fleet operators.

In addition to the exhibition, the company said its executives are participating in industry discussions during the event. Paramjit Singh Chadha, Senior Vice President, ZF CVS India, is scheduled to speak at a session on the electrification of school bus transport.
