Zelio E-Mobility Launches 2026 Version of X-Men+ Electric Scooter at ₹60,000

Zelio E-Mobility has launched the 2026 variant of its X-Men+ electric scooter, priced at ₹60,000. The company is offering a free safety helmet to the first 5,000 customers as part of the launch. The scooter is available in four new colour options: Dark Knight Black, White, Midnight Blue, and Nardo Gray.

The X-Men+ is positioned as a low-speed scooter for urban use, targeting commuters, school and college students, and office-goers navigating city traffic. At ₹60,000, it sits in a segment that has seen growing demand as fuel costs and urban congestion push buyers toward electric alternatives for short-distance daily travel.

The 2026 variant delivers a range of 120 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 25 kmph, consistent with the low-speed electric vehicle category, which does not require a driving licence under current regulations in India. One of the notable changes in this iteration is the upgrade of the rear wheel from 10 inches to 12 inches, which the company says improves ride comfort. The scooter also features hydraulic shock absorbers at both the front and rear, along with 90-100-10 tyres on both ends for added stability. The vehicle supports a gross weight of 80 kg and has a loading capacity of 180 kg, making it suitable for carrying additional cargo in addition to the rider.

Braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum brake combination. Alloy front rims and hub motor rear rims have been fitted to improve durability and ensure consistent handling during daily use.

The scooter is powered by a 60/72V BLDC motor with an energy consumption of 1.5 units per charge, keeping running costs low for everyday users. It is compatible with both lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries, giving buyers the option to choose based on budget and preference. Lithium-ion batteries charge in four to five hours, while lead-acid batteries require eight to ten hours, offering flexibility for riders with varying charging schedules.

Beyond its core specifications, the 2026 X-Men+ comes equipped with a range of convenience features aimed at daily urban riders. These include reverse gear, a digital display, a parking switch, an anti-theft alarm, USB charging, central locking, and an auto repair switch. The vehicle is backed by a two-year warranty on the scooter and a one-year warranty on the battery.

"Urban commuting demands reliability, comfort, and ease of use, and the X-Men+ 2026 variant has been engineered to meet exactly those needs," said Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility. "With modern styling, a larger rear wheel, improved suspension, and a host of rider-friendly features, the X-Men+ 2026 variant provides a dependable and practical solution for city riders navigating daily traffic. This launch reinforces our commitment to practical, purpose-built electric mobility for India."

Zelio E-Mobility was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Haryana. In the five years since its founding, the company has scaled to an annual manufacturing capacity of 72,000 units, accumulated a customer base of over 2,00,000 riders, and built a dealership network of 350 outlets spanning 20 states and union territories. The company has reported year-on-year growth and operates across both established and emerging electric mobility markets in the country.

The launch of the 2026 X-Men+ variant comes at a time when India's low-speed electric two-wheeler segment is expanding, driven by rising fuel prices, government incentives for EV adoption, and increasing awareness of last-mile electric mobility solutions. Manufacturers in this space have been updating their product lines to meet evolving consumer preferences for better range, comfort, and design at accessible price points.
