Yulu Champions Road Safety with Rallies Across Bengaluru and Delhi

Yulu, India's largest shared EV mobility tech company, marked National Road Safety Month with dedicated rider awareness rallies in Bengaluru and Delhi, reinforcing its commitment to safer roads and responsible riding practices.

The initiatives align with this year's National Road Safety Month theme, "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha" (Road Safety Saves Lives), a campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).

In Bengaluru, Yulu organised a 5-kilometre anti-drug and road safety awareness rally with participation from 30 police officials. Inspector R. Veeresh of the Vivek Nagar Police Station flagged off the event, which covered key junctions across Vivek Nagar, Koramangala, and surrounding areas. Officials engaged with road users and local residents to emphasise personal well-being and responsible riding.

The Delhi event saw Yulu participate in a two-wheeler rally organised by MoRTH and Delhi Traffic Police at Connaught Place. Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) DK Gupta flagged off the rally, which attracted around 200 riders, including Yulu users and delivery partners. Participants interacted with commuters to reinforce road safety awareness.

Over the past eight years, Yulu has promoted road safety through various channels, including in-app and WhatsApp-based safety notifications, training videos, and on-ground workshops conducted in partnership with local police departments.

"Enabling people to navigate cities safely and securely is a vital part of Yulu's mission. Therefore, we work closely with all relevant stakeholders — from delivery brands to gig workers and transport officials — to sensitise communities to the importance of responsible and safe riding," said RK Misra, Co-founder and President - Ecosystem Partnerships at Yulu.

In Bengaluru, Yulu's largest market, the company has deployed trained safety Marshals at major junctions to guide riders and ensure compliance with traffic rules at the request of the Bengaluru Traffic Police. These initiatives underscore Yulu's ongoing commitment to fostering safer and healthier urban communities.
