Youdha Launches EPOD in L5 EV Segment, Aims for ₹1,000 Crore Revenue by 2030

Youdha, an electric vehicle manufacturer aligned with Lohia Auto, has entered the L5 electric passenger three-wheeler segment with the launch of its first product, the Youdha EPOD. The company has set a revenue target of ₹1,000 crore by 2030, aiming to strengthen its position in India’s commercial EV market.

The L5 segment, focused on road-legal electric three-wheelers for commercial use, has seen increased demand due to rising fuel prices, the need for last-mile delivery solutions, and supportive EV policies. The EPOD is positioned to address these market trends, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas.

Equipped with a 6-kilowatt motor producing 50 Nm of torque, the EPOD is powered by an 11.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery. The vehicle offers a certified range of 227 km on a single charge and features two driving modes—City and Boost. Designed to operate in various road and weather conditions, it includes a 300 mm water-wading capacity.

The EPOD is being produced at Youdha’s Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand, which has an annual capacity of 1,00,000 units. Initial distribution will focus on Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, with plans for phased expansion across India.

Youdha’s brand identity is built around the idea of enabling reliable, cost-efficient electric mobility while reflecting the aspirations of drivers and mobility entrepreneurs. The company also plans to introduce cargo variants and expand its manufacturing and service network as part of its long-term growth strategy.
