Yokohama India announced on Wednesday the induction of Sri Venkateshwara Tyres into its Yokohama Club Network (YCN), adding a third branded retail point in Visakhapatnam. The outlet is situated in NGGO's Colony, a well-established residential and commercial locality in the city.

The dealership, led by Raju, will stock Yokohama's range of passenger and utility vehicle tyres, including the Advan, Geolandar, BluEarth, S.drive, and Earth1 product lines. Alongside retail sales, the outlet will offer tyre fitment and maintenance services using equipment described by the company as advanced service technology.

Speaking at the inauguration, Harinder Singh, Managing Director and CEO of Yokohama India, stated that Visakhapatnam holds strategic significance for the company, noting that one of the brand's manufacturing facilities is located in the city. Singh said the expansion was aimed at increasing customer access points and aligning dealer service standards with the company's global benchmarks.

The YCN programme is Yokohama India's franchise model for authorised dealers, requiring outlets to meet defined standards in product display, customer service, and technical capability. The Visakhapatnam addition brings the network's footprint further into southern India as the Japanese tyre manufacturer looks to deepen its presence in a competitive market.

Yokohama India has not disclosed the projected sales targets or investment figures associated with the new outlet. The company did not provide details on planned YCN additions in other Andhra Pradesh cities.
