Yamaha Motor Opens Robotics Sales, Service Facility In Gurugram
The new Gurugram facility will support Yamaha’s robotics operations in India, focusing initially on SMT assembly systems and industrial robots while expanding local service capabilities.
Yamaha Motor Co. has opened a new sales and service facility for its robotics business in Gurugram, Haryana, as part of efforts to strengthen its presence in India’s growing manufacturing and automation sectors.
The facility, named the Robotics Business Support Division, has been established within Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (YMIS), which currently handles the company’s motorcycle and related product operations in India.
According to the company, the new division will focus on strengthening sales and service operations for Yamaha-branded robotics products in the Indian market, while also streamlining business processes and supporting future investments.
Yamaha said India’s manufacturing sector has seen increasing growth and sophistication in recent years, with the robotics segment also witnessing expanding demand.
The facility will initially provide support for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) assembly systems and industrial robots, before later adding capabilities for semiconductor back-end processing equipment.
In addition to service operations, the Gurugram site includes a showroom displaying Yamaha’s robotics technologies and solutions. The company said the space is intended to help customers better understand production applications and operational use cases.
