Wardwizard unveils new EVs under Joy e-rik and Joy e-bike brands
Wardwizard expands its EV portfolio with new passenger and commercial three-wheelers and the high-speed electric scooter Nemo, emphasizing affordability, performance, and sustainability for urban and last-mile mobility in India.
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited (WIML), a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer, has introduced a new range of 'Made in India' electric three-wheelers under its Joy e-rik brand and launched a high-speed electric scooter, Nemo, under its Joy e-bike brand. These developments aim to cater to the passenger and commercial EV markets in India, promoting eco-friendly and efficient mobility solutions.
In the passenger vehicle category, the company unveiled two models: Joy e-rik V1 (L5) and Joy Bandhu (L3). The Joy e-rik V1 is equipped with a 10.24 kW lithium-ion battery, offering a maximum speed of 50 km/h and a range of 140 km per charge. It includes features such as a fire extinguisher, parking brake, hazard indicator, and digital speedometer, with a charging time of 4.5–5 hours. Available in six color options, the vehicle is priced from Rs 3.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Joy Bandhu features a 7.2 kW lead-acid battery providing a range of 100-120 km per charge with a standard charging time of 8–8.5 hours. It includes seating for four passengers and a digital instrument cluster, priced from Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
In the commercial segment, Wardwizard launched the Joy Sahayak + Cargo (L5) and Joy Eco Loader (L3). The Joy Sahayak + Cargo is powered by a 51.2V PMSM motor, delivering a peak power of 9 kW, with a range of 120-130 km per charge and a maximum payload capacity of 650 kg plus the driver. It comes equipped with features like GPS, geo-fencing, and cloud-based vehicle management. Priced from Rs 4.24 lakh (ex-showroom), the vehicle also includes a 36-month battery warranty. The Joy Eco Loader, designed for lighter commercial needs, features a 48V BLDC motor with a peak power of 1.59 kW and a payload capacity of 310 kg plus the driver. It is priced from Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) with a battery warranty of 18 months.
In the two-wheeler category, the company introduced the Nemo electric scooter, designed for urban use with a payload capacity of 150 kg. The scooter features a 72V, 40Ah lithium-ion battery and a 1500W DC brushless hub motor, offering a range of 130 km per charge in Eco mode and a top speed exceeding 65 km/h. It includes front telescopic fork suspension, rear dual shock absorbers, hydraulic disc brakes, and a combi-brake system for added safety. The design incorporates a 5-inch full-color TFT display, projector LED headlight, and IoT-enabled features like real-time tracking and geo-fencing. The scooter is available in silver and white, priced at Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom).
Speaking on the occasion, Yatin Gupte, Chairman and Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, highlighted that these new models represent a step forward in addressing India’s growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions. The company aims to strengthen its collaboration with fleet operators to provide cost-effective and eco-friendly transportation options, focusing on electrified last-mile delivery, shared mobility, and logistics. These launches are part of Wardwizard's broader efforts to build a robust EV ecosystem in the country and cater to the diverse mobility needs of Indian consumers.
