Volkswagen India announced the opening of a new customer facility in Patiala, Punjab, on July 25, 2025, marking another step in the company's expansion across northern India. The inauguration brings the brand's total network in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Panchkula to 11 sales and 7 service touchpoints.

The Patiala facility operates from two locations and employs 40 trained professionals. The showroom, situated on Rajpura-Patiala Road, displays four vehicles including the Virtus and Taigun models, both rated five stars by Global NCAP, along with the Tiguan R-Line. The service workshop, located at Chamarheri near the Patiala Toll Plaza, contains eight service bays with body and paint repair capabilities.

Customers at the new location will have access to Express Service and Volkswagen Assistance programs, designed to reduce service times and provide doorstep support for minor repairs and breakdowns. The facility aims to improve accessibility for Volkswagen owners in the region.

Nitin Kohli, Brand Director at Volkswagen India, emphasized Punjab's importance to the company's national sales performance. He stated that expanding the network in Punjab aligns with the company's commitment to delivering German-engineered vehicles and premium mobility experiences in the state.

Ashok Singhal, Managing Director of Volkswagen Patiala, noted that his organization now operates facilities in both Patiala and Bathinda. He expressed confidence that the expanded presence would enhance accessibility and service quality for customers while maintaining the brand's focus on safety, quality, and reliability.

Volkswagen currently offers four models in the Indian market: the Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan R-Line, and Golf GTI. The company is part of a global automotive group that sells vehicles in more than 150 countries and has been developing electric mobility solutions, including the ID.3 model launched in Europe in 2019.

The expansion reflects Volkswagen's broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key Indian markets through improved customer service infrastructure and enhanced accessibility to its vehicle lineup.
