Volkswagen India Extends GST 2.0 Benefits Across Model Range
Company passes on complete tax reduction benefits to customers from September 22, 2025
Volkswagen India announced Tuesday it will extend complete GST 2.0 rate reduction benefits to customers across its entire model range, with revised pricing effective September 22, 2025. The German automaker will pass on tax savings ranging from ₹66,900 to ₹3,26,900 across select variants of the Virtus, Taigun and Tiguan R-Line models.
The announcement comes as part of the government's revised GST structure, allowing automotive manufacturers to reduce vehicle prices. Volkswagen's decision to pass on the complete benefit directly to consumers affects three of its key models in the Indian market.
GST Reduction Benefits by Model
The tax reduction benefits vary across Volkswagen's model lineup:

Beyond the GST reduction, customers can access additional benefits on select models. These range from a maximum of ₹1.61 lakh to ₹3 lakh on the Taigun, Virtus and Tiguan R-Line respectively.
The company has advised customers to contact their nearest authorized Volkswagen showroom for exact pricing details and specific benefits on their preferred model and variant.
Volkswagen currently operates in India through Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, a division of SAVWIPL (formerly Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd.). The company's Indian portfolio includes the Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI models, targeting different segments of the passenger car market.
