VinFast Auto India opened its 50th retail outlet in India on Wednesday, inaugurating a 3S dealership — covering sales, service, and spare parts — in Bengaluru's Electronic City area on Hosur Road. The opening marks a notable point in the company's India expansion, which has accelerated since it entered the market with its first showrooms a few years ago.

The facility is operated by dealer group PPS Motors LLP under the leadership of Raaj Sekar. Spanning 11,500 sq ft, it integrates both showroom and service areas under one roof, with a 2,500 sq ft showroom at its centre. The company said the outlet was designed and built in line with VinFast's global retail standards, with an emphasis on delivering an immersive customer experience across the sales and after-sales journey.

VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh described the milestone as a reflection of the company's accelerated pace of expansion. "The opening of our flagship 3S facility in Bengaluru builds on this progress, delivering integrated excellence in sales, service, and spare parts to meet customer needs effectively," he said. "This rapid growth underscores VinFast's pivotal role in advancing India's electric vehicle ecosystem."

The choice of Bengaluru is notable. The city, home to a large base of technology professionals and early adopters, has emerged as one of the more active markets for electric vehicles in India. Electronic City, where the new outlet is located, sits at the heart of the city's technology corridor, placing the showroom close to a demographic that has shown considerable interest in EV ownership.

Looking ahead, VinFast has set a target of 75 dealerships across more than 60 cities by the end of 2026. The expansion plan is not limited to major metros. The company said it intends to extend its network into emerging urban markets, positioning itself to capture demand outside the traditional tier-one cities where most EV sales have historically been concentrated.

VinFast currently sells two electric SUV models in India — the VF 6 and VF 7. Both have secured 5-star ratings under the Bharat NCAP safety assessment programme, which evaluates vehicles against India-specific crash test standards. The models come with roadside assistance, three years of free maintenance, and warranty coverage of up to ten years or 200,000 kilometres, depending on the variant.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, VinFast is building what it describes as a comprehensive EV ecosystem in India, spanning manufacturing, retail, charging infrastructure, after-sales services, and a circular battery value chain. The company said it is working with banks and partners to support this infrastructure buildout, with the goal of delivering a more seamless ownership experience for buyers.

To lower the barriers to EV adoption, the company has introduced several customer-focused schemes. Its Value Assured programme offers buyers a predetermined resale value after a set period of use, addressing one of the more common concerns around EV ownership — depreciation and resale uncertainty. Customers also receive free charging on VinFast's V-Green network until March 31, 2029, effectively offering up to three years of zero fuel cost. A separate initiative from parent company Vingroup — "Trade Gas for Electric" — provides an additional 3% discount to customers switching from internal combustion vehicles, valid until March 31, 2026.

VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS) is a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam's largest conglomerates. The company positions itself as a pure-play electric vehicle manufacturer, with a product portfolio that extends beyond passenger SUVs to include electric motorcycles, bicycles, and buses. Globally, VinFast is in the process of expanding its dealer and distribution network, with a focus on North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
