VECV reports 32 percent jump in January 2023 sales to 7,181 units

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, sold 7,181 units in January 2023, up 32.1 percent from 5,434 units in January 2022. This comprises 6,992 Eicher brand vehicles and 189 Volvo brand vehicles. 

In terms of sales volume, the company noted in a statement that Eicher branded trucks and buses sold 6,992 units in January 2023, compared to 5,325 units in January 2022, marking a 31.3 percent increase.

In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks and buses sold 6,791 units in January 2023, up from 4,523 units in January 2022, marking a 50.1 percent increase. In terms of exports, Eicher sold 201 units in January 2023, compared to 802 units in January 2022, showing a 74.9 percent decrease.

Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses, on the other hand, sold 189 units in January 2023, up from 109 units in January 2022, marking a 73.4 percent increase.
