Updated BMW X5 Prices Start at Rs 1 Crore

BMW has launched the updated 2025 X5 in India, with prices now ranging from Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom). This marks a uniform increase of Rs 2.5 lakh across all variants. The previously offered BMW X5 M Sport has been replaced with an even sportier M Sport Pro variant, which brings more features and distinctive design upgrades.

Under the hood, the X5 continues with its familiar powertrain options. The petrol-powered xDrive40i uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six that produces 381 hp and 520 Nm, while the diesel-powered xDrive30d comes with a 3.0-litre inline-six making 286 hp and 650 Nm. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive AWD tech. The engines now also feature a 48V mild-hybrid setup that can briefly add up to 12 hp and 200 Nm of torque.

A key highlight of the update is the addition of features across the range. The air suspension, previously offered only on higher trims, is now standard on all variants. BMW has also equipped the X5 with its xOff-road package as standard, bringing four driving modes—xSand, xRocks, xGravel, and xSnow—controlled via a rocker switch on the centre console.

The new M Sport Pro variant gets sportier styling and more equipment. On the outside, it features a blacked-out illuminated grille, M Sport aero package with front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, black roof rails, exhaust pipes, 21-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and an M Sport differential. Inside, it gains ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, M-specific touches, and the option of dual-tone tartufo (saddle brown) and black or white and black upholstery. The standard X5, meanwhile, comes with high-quality Sensafin synthetic leather with décor stitching and a Cognac shade.

BMW offers the updated X5 in a choice of six colours—Brooklyn Grey, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, Tanzanite Blue, and Black Sapphire.

With these updates for 2025, the X5 continues to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90.
