Uno Minda, a prominent Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer, today announced the launch of its new Perfomaxx brake pad series for the Indian aftermarket, featuring advanced RMR (Rubber Metal Rubber) technology and enhanced safety specifications.
The new Heavy Duty Organic Brake Pads with Shim represent a significant addition to the company's passenger vehicle product portfolio. The launch comes as the automotive industry continues to focus on improving safety standards and component reliability in the aftermarket segment.
"We've developed these brake pads to meet the evolving demands of the Indian automotive market," said Anand Kumar, Head of Product & Strategy at Aftermarket Uno Minda Ltd. "The integration of RMR technology delivers improved friction management and noise reduction, addressing key concerns of both mechanics and vehicle owners."
The brake pads incorporate several technical advancements, including a distinctive Forest Green backplate for easy identification and a specialized grease pouch for installation. These features are designed to simplify the replacement process while maintaining consistent performance standards.
Pricing for the new brake pad series ranges from ₹990 to ₹2,575, varying by vehicle model specifications. The company is backing the product with a one-year warranty, demonstrating confidence in its durability and performance.
Distribution will occur through Uno Minda's established network of authorized dealers, with availability confirmed across both online platforms and traditional retail outlets. The brake pads are compatible with a broad spectrum of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles currently operating in the Indian market.
The launch aligns with Uno Minda's strategy to strengthen its aftermarket presence while addressing the industry's growing focus on standardized, high-quality replacement parts. The company has emphasized that all components meet current automotive safety regulations and manufacturing standards.
Industry analysts note that this release could potentially influence aftermarket component quality standards, particularly in the brake system segment where reliability and performance are crucial factors for vehicle safety.
