Uno Minda Approves Rs 210 Crore Manufacturing Facility for EV Casting Division

The Committee of the Board of Directors approved the Detailed Project Report for setting up of new manufacturing facility of the Casting Division at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to cater the increasing demands of OEMs for casting parts in EV Vehicles.

Uno Minda Approves Rs 210 Crore Manufacturing Facility for EV Casting Division

Uno Minda Limited's Committee of the Board of Directors on Thursday, June 19, 2025, approved the establishment of a new manufacturing facility for its Casting Division at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar requiring a capital expenditure of approximately Rs 210 crores to meet growing demand from original equipment manufacturers for casting parts in electric vehicles.

The new manufacturing facility will add a proposed capacity of 3,629 metric tonnes per annum, to be achieved in a phased manner over the next five years. Phase 1 of the project is expected to begin start of production in the second quarter of 2026-27.

The company will finance the Rs 210 crore investment through internal accruals and term loans. The investment will be deployed in phases to support the capacity expansion initiative.

Uno Minda Limited operates with its corporate office in Village Nawada Fatehpur, Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana, and maintains its registered office at Wazirpur Industrial Area, Delhi.
