Ultraviolette Automotive has officially entered the United Kingdom market with the launch of its flagship electric motorcycles, the F77 MACH 2 RECON and F77 SuperStreet RECON, marking a significant expansion for the Bengaluru-based manufacturer into European territory.
The launch, announced on November 18, 2025, positions Ultraviolette as a key player in the UK's performance electric motorcycle segment through an exclusive partnership with MotoMondo BV, which will handle distribution across the region.
Performance Specifications
The F77 series delivers 30 kW of peak electrical power and 100 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration to a top speed of 155 kph. Powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, the motorcycles offer a range of up to 323 kilometers under IDC testing conditions.
The F77 MACH 2 features a race-inspired design with an aggressive riding stance, while the SuperStreet variant offers more upright ergonomics for everyday comfort. Both models incorporate Ultraviolette's proprietary Violette A.I. system and Bosch Dual-Channel ABS, along with 10 levels of regenerative braking, four levels of traction control, and dynamic stability control.
Industry-First Radar Technology
At the Motorcycle Live Show, Ultraviolette unveiled its X-47 Crossover, which the company describes as the world's first motorcycle to feature integrated radar technology as standard equipment across all variants. The radar system adapts to lean angles up to 20 degrees and compensates for variations in roll and pitch.
The UV HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System includes blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings. The system provides visual alerts through integrated mirrors and can activate hazard lights automatically to warn approaching vehicles.
The X-47 also incorporates what Ultraviolette claims is the world's most power-dense air-cooled onboard charger, designed to operate at full capacity in ambient temperatures ranging from 45 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Future Product Portfolio
Ultraviolette also showcased two additional platforms at the exhibition. The Tesseract scooter integrates radar and dashcam technology with 14-inch wheels, 34 liters of under-seat storage, and a seven-inch touchscreen display.
The Shockwave lightweight motorcycle is designed to evoke the performance characteristics of two-stroke motorcycles, delivering 505 Nm of torque at the rear wheel with acceleration from 0 to 60 kph in 2.9 seconds.
Market Context
"The United Kingdom is a nation renowned for its deep motorcycling heritage," said Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co-founder of Ultraviolette. He noted that ongoing UK-India Free Trade Agreement negotiations could facilitate easier technology transfer between the two countries.
Jan Ykema, managing director of MotoMondo, characterized electric motorcycles as "a genuine and affordable mobility solution in a world where there will be more and more restrictions for ICE vehicles."
Ultraviolette was founded in 2016 and is backed by investors including Lingotto (a subsidiary of Exor N.V.), Qualcomm Ventures, Zoho Corporation, TVS Motors, TDK Ventures, and Speciale Invest. The company previously launched its F77 series across Europe earlier this year.
