Ultraviolette Expands Electric Motorcycle Retail Footprint with New Chennai Outlet

Ultraviolette Automotive Private Limited has announced the opening of a new retail and service outlet in Chennai, marking the deployment of its second dedicated experience center within the country. Established in partnership with regional dealer entity M/s. JMB Motors, the facility is located on Harrington Road in Chetpet. The network expansion is structured to manage sales, vehicle maintenance, and component accessories for the company’s performance electric motorcycle portfolio as the firm scales its retail presence across major automotive hubs.

The structural rollout follows several corporate ecosystem initiatives aimed at lowering consumer entry barriers for high-performance electric vehicles. The manufacturer recently partnered with charging infrastructure firm Bolt.Earth to deploy a Type 6 charging network across the country, alongside launching a specialized battery-as-a-service program designated as Battery Flex. The newly inaugurated Chennai storefront will house the company's core product lineup, consisting of the F77 and X-47 Crossover models, which feature a 10.3 kilowatt-hour battery pack delivering an Indian Driving Cycle range of 323 kilometers on a single charge.

Niraj Rajmohan, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, stated that Chennai represents a critical market within India's shifting mobility landscape due to its established industrial legacy in automotive engineering and manufacturing. Rajmohan noted that the new hub is intended to bring the company's technology closer to regional buyers while the firm continues to develop localized capabilities across battery architectures, vehicle intelligence systems, and radar-enabled safety software.
