TVS Motor Unveils Four Production-Ready Models At EICMA 2026

TVS Motor Company has unveiled four production-ready models at EICMA 2026 in Milan, comprising three electric scooters and a 125cc motorcycle, as the company expands its presence in European markets.

The models include the TVS Orbiter, TVS M1-S, TVS X and TVS RTR 125. The portfolio covers electric urban commuting, maxi-scooter mobility, premium electric performance and lightweight sports motorcycling. The company said the models have been developed with European customer requirements and riding conditions in mind.

TVS Motor is targeting a larger contribution from international markets, with the potential for overseas business to account for 30% or more of its overall revenue by 2030. Its European expansion strategy includes product development, distribution, aftersales support and investments in engineering capabilities.

TVS Motor Expands European Retail Network

The company's European retail expansion began in Italy before extending to Spain and Portugal, with further network development planned in France and Germany. TVS Motor currently has more than 100 retailers in Italy, where sales have increased by 110% over the past year. An additional 22 retailers are operational across Spain and Portugal.

The company is also investing in dealer capabilities and aftersales support as it develops its distribution network. Its European strategy focuses on adapting products to local riding conditions, strengthening customer access and establishing service infrastructure.

Peyman Kargar, President of International Business at TVS Motor, said the company is focusing on distribution, dealer and service capabilities alongside developing a product portfolio suited to European requirements.

Kargar has also been appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVS Motor Company, effective January 27, 2027. He will succeed K. N. Radhakrishnan.

TVS Orbiter, M1-S And X Expand Electric Scooter Portfolio

The TVS Orbiter is positioned as an electric scooter for urban commuting. It features an upright riding position, 34-litre underseat storage and a removable battery arrangement intended to provide charging flexibility.

The European-specification Orbiter will be available with two battery options: 1.8kWh and 3.1kWh. These offer expected WMTC ranges of 70km and 105km, respectively. The battery can be charged while installed on the scooter or removed and connected to a household power socket using a dedicated dock. The scooter has a top speed of 45kph and falls under Europe's L1e vehicle category.

The TVS M1-S targets the electric maxi-scooter segment, combining a larger format with an electric powertrain. It is powered by a 4.2kWh battery and produces 12.5kW of peak power, with a claimed top speed of 105kph.

The battery is positioned low in the floorboard, while the scooter also features a 26-litre storage compartment capable of accommodating a full-face helmet. A 10-80% charge takes 75 minutes, according to the company. Integrated LTE connectivity provides connected functions without requiring a paired smartphone.

The TVS X occupies the premium end of the company's electric scooter portfolio. Its European specification includes an aluminium frame, 14-inch front and rear wheels and dual-channel ABS.

The electric motor produces 11.7kW of peak power, enabling a claimed 0-40kph acceleration time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 110kph. The scooter also features a 10.2-inch panoramic touchscreen with Android Auto and full-map navigation, supported by independent LTE connectivity. It is positioned in Europe's A1 category.

TVS RTR 125 Targets Entry-Level Sports Motorcycle Segment

Alongside its electric scooters, TVS Motor has presented the RTR 125, developed for European A1 licence holders and riders entering the lightweight performance motorcycle segment.

The 125cc motorcycle is intended to address the requirements of younger and first-time performance motorcycle buyers, combining everyday usability with a focus on agility and rider control.

The RTR 125 will join the company's existing European motorcycle portfolio, which includes the RR 310, RTR 310, Ronin and RTX 300. TVS Motor has also scheduled the RTX 300, first introduced at EICMA 2025, for European dealership introduction.

TVS Motor Strengthens European Engineering Capabilities

TVS Motor's international engineering operations span India, Singapore, the UK and Bologna, Italy. The company has established a Global Centre of Excellence for Design and Engineering in Bologna following its acquisition of Engines Engineering S.p.A.

The engineering network supports product development across vehicle design, electric powertrains, connected technologies and performance engineering. India continues to play a central role in the company's manufacturing, product development and quality operations.

TVS Motor said it has sold more than one million electric scooters globally and invested over $1 billion in electric vehicle and battery ecosystems. These capabilities are being applied to products intended for international markets.

The four production-ready models form part of the company's 19-vehicle display at EICMA 2026. The showcase also includes the first global presentation of the '82 Series, comprising one-off editions of the RR 310, RTR 310, RTX 300 and Ronin.

TVS Motor said market-specific pricing, final specifications and availability dates for the four models will be announced closer to their respective European launches. EICMA 2026 is scheduled to open to the public from November 5 to 8, with the Orbiter, M1-S and TVS X available for test rides at the event.
