TVS Motor Reaches 7 Million Units Cumulative Sales for Apache Model Line
Manufacturer Introduces New Advertising Campaign to Celebrate Milestone
TVS Motor Company has recorded a cumulative global sales volume of 7 million units for its Apache motorcycle since the brand's initial launch in 2005. The performance product range, which spans engine displacements from 160cc to 310cc, is distributed across 90 countries globally.
According to product architecture logs, the Apache sub-brand operates within three distinct structural categories: Street Naked, Supersport, and Adventure Rally Tourer. The existing production catalog features the RTR 160, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, RTR 200 4V, and RTR 310 naked variants, alongside the RR 310 supersport model and the RTX adventure iteration.
TVS said that over its 21 years of market availability, the product line has served as a testing platform to transition track-derived technologies into commercial commuter formats, featuring components such as fuel injection systems, ABS, variable ride modes, and traction control systems.
Gaurav Gupta, President of the India Two-Wheeler Business at TVS Motor Company, noted that the baseline volume target reflects the long-term expansion of the vehicle lineup from its initial regional racing roots into an international product family.
The manufacturer marked the operational milestone by introducing a new promotional media campaign developed alongside National Award-winning Indian filmmaker Ram Madhvani, titled "Tu Race Laga".
