TVS Motor Company on March 30, 2026 announced an update to its Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle range, introducing two new variants that bring projector headlamp technology, all-LED lighting, and an Assist & Slipper Clutch to a wider section of the lineup. The 2026 range is available across dealerships in India, starting at ₹1,25,440 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The updated lineup now consists of three variants. The entry variant comes with single-channel ABS and telescopic suspension. The mid variant adds dual-channel ABS and upside-down (USD) forks. The top variant retains its existing features — USD suspension, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a 5-inch TFT display with TVS SmartXonnect connectivity. All three variants now carry the Class-D projector headlamp with LED daytime running lights, all-LED turn signal lamps, and the Assist & Slipper Clutch — features that were previously available only on the top-spec model. Prices for the three variants are ₹1,25,440, ₹1,30,690, and ₹1,37,440 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The motorcycle's engine and mechanical specifications remain unchanged. The Apache RTR 160 4V continues to produce 17.55PS, which TVS positions as the highest output in the 160cc segment in India. The bike also offers three ride modes — Sport, Urban, and Rain — radial tyres, a hydroformed handlebar, and turn-by-turn navigation on applicable variants.

Vimal Sumbly, Head of Business for the Premium segment at TVS Motor Company, said the update was aimed at improving rider safety and night-time visibility across the range while retaining accessibility. TVS claims the Apache series has sold to over 6.5 million riders across more than 60 countries over the past two decades.

The Apache RTR 160 4V sits within the broader Apache RTR series, which starts at ₹1,12,190 (ex-showroom, Delhi). TVS Motor Company, listed on both the BSE and NSE, operates manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia and markets products in approximately 80 countries. The company's group portfolio includes UK-based Norton Motorcycles and Swiss e-bike company TVS Ebike Company AG.
