TVS Motor Company and its subsidiary Norton Motorcycles have rolled out the first production units of the new Atlas motorcycle platform from the TVS manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The rollout marks the British brand's return to the middleweight adventure and sport-touring segments through two distinct variants: the all-terrain Atlas and the road-focused Atlas GT.

The assembly event was attended by Dr. Sutapa Choudhury, British Deputy High Commissioner for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala, alongside K.N. Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company. The manufacturing arrangement splits operations between the two companies, with product design, brand strategy, and engineering direction handled at Norton’s headquarters in Solihull, UK, while TVS Motor Company provides the industrial infrastructure, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing assembly in India.

The entry into the middleweight segment follows the release of the premium Manx R superbike, which is currently manufactured at Norton's UK facility. With the Solihull plant operating at capacity, production of the higher-volume Atlas platform was assigned to Hosur to utilize TVS’s global manufacturing base. Both new models are powered by a 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree firing order, housed in a steel trellis chassis and equipped with a Bosch six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) electronic rider aid suite.

The Atlas platform is scheduled for an official global launch next month, with initial international sales expected to begin later in the third quarter of 2026. Commercial introduction to the Indian market is planned for later in the year. Domestic distribution will be managed through TVS Paddock, an exclusive premium retail channel that TVS Motor Company plans to introduce during the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year.
