TVS Motor announces entry into Vietnam

India’s major two-wheeler and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Co Ltd has announced its entry into Vietnam with a range of two-wheelers.

TVS Motor has tied up with Minh Long Motors for distribution in Vietnam. The automaker will offer TVS Dazz, TVS NTORQ, TVS Callisto 110 cc and TVS Callisto 125 cc, and TVS Rockz across all showrooms.

Speaking about the market, PT TVS Motor Co President and Director J Thangarajan said “Vietnam is an economy on the rise, and mobility and access are key drivers of any economy.”

“TVS Motor, globally recognised for its engineering, innovation and quality, will leverage Minh Long Motors' extensive distribution network and deep market insights to offer some of the best-in-class two-wheelers in the Vietnamese market,” the company said in a press release.

Earlier this month, the company also announced its plans to enter Europe starting with France. The company has also recently partnered with Emil Frey for import and distribution in Europe.

TVS Motor already sells in over 80 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Exports contribute around 25% of the company’s sales.
