Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced on September 6 that it will pass on the complete benefits of the recent GST rate reduction to customers through revised vehicle pricing. The new prices will be implemented from September 22, 2025, ahead of the festive season.
The price reductions vary across Toyota's model lineup, with the Fortuner receiving the highest cut of up to ₹3.49 lakh, followed by the Legender at up to ₹3.34 lakh. Other models include reductions of up to ₹2.78 lakh for the Vellfire, ₹2.52 lakh for the Hilux, and ₹1.80 lakh for the Crysta. The Rumion receives the smallest reduction at up to ₹48,700.
Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at TKM, stated that the company expects the GST rate reduction to enhance affordability and strengthen confidence in the automotive sector. He described the move as a "historic reform" that would provide momentum during the festive season and accelerate demand.
The announcement affects 11 Toyota models sold in India, including both locally manufactured vehicles and completely built units. TKM's manufacturing operations include two plants in Bidadi with a combined installed production capacity of up to 3.42 lakh units annually.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan, which holds an 89% stake, and India's Kirloskar Systems Limited with 11%. The company employs over 6,500 people and operates on approximately 432 acres of land area. The company has advised customers to confirm pricing at authorized dealerships and recommended early bookings to ensure delivery during the festive period.
