Toyota Kirloskar Motor April Sales Grow 17 Percent to Over 32,000 Units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported a 17 percent year on year increase in total sales for April 2026, dispatching 32,086 units compared to the 27,329 units sold in the same month last year. This overall growth was anchored by the domestic market, where sales volumes rose by 21 percent to reach 30,159 units against 24,833 units in April 2025. However, the automaker's export shipments for the month experienced a 23 percent decline, falling to 1,927 units from the 2,496 units exported in the corresponding period of the previous year.

For the first four months of the calendar year spanning January to April 2026, the company recorded a 19 percent growth in total sales, reaching 1,37,194 units compared to 1,15,157 units during the same period in 2025. Domestic sales for this four month period grew by 20 percent to 1,26,651 units, while year to date exports saw a 13 percent increase to 10,543 units. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business, stated that the April performance reflects steady progress driven by customer focus and product excellence. "A key highlight during the month was the Innova HyCross achieving the 2 lakh cumulative sales milestone, reinforcing the positive and growing market acceptance of our hybrid offerings," Manohar noted.

The automaker, which operates as a joint venture with Toyota Motor Corporation holding an 89 percent stake and Kirloskar Systems Limited holding 11 percent, maintains a total installed production capacity of up to 3.42 lakh units annually.
