Hyundai BAYON Design Sketches Revealed Ahead Of India Debut

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled the first design sketches of the Hyundai BAYON, its upcoming Intelligent Utility Vehicle, following the company's recent announcement of the model's name. The vehicle is being developed as a global product, with the sketches offering an early look at its exterior and interior design.

The BAYON's design follows Hyundai's evolving Art of Steel design philosophy, which uses architectural forms, sharp character lines and defined proportions. The sketches show a sculpted hood, pronounced fenders, robust lower-body elements and an H-Edge lighting signature at the front.

Hyundai describes BAYON as an urban-focused SUV intended for customers who spend most of their time in city environments. The design is intended to combine an SUV identity with characteristics suited to urban use.

Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, Hyundai Motor Company, said the BAYON was designed around the combination of an exterior intended to convey SUV toughness and an interior focused on technology and urban use. He also highlighted the sculpted hood, fender volumes and H-Edge lighting as key design elements.
