Toyota Glanza Gets Six Airbags as Standard Feature Across All Variants
Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduces safety upgrade and limited-time accessory package for its hatchback model, with prices starting at Rs. 6.90 lakh.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced on July 11, 2025, that all variants of the Toyota Glanza will now include six airbags as standard equipment. The safety upgrade applies to the entire range of the hatchback model, which starts at Rs. 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has also introduced a limited-period "Prestige Package" accessory bundle available until July 31, 2025. The package includes seven dealer-fitted accessories: premium door visors, body side molding with chrome and black accents, rear lamp garnish, chrome garnishes for outside rearview mirrors and fenders, rear skid plate, illuminated door sills, and lower grille garnish.
The Toyota Glanza is powered by a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine and offers fuel efficiency of up to 22.94 km/l with automatic transmission and 30.61 km/kg in CNG variant. The vehicle features a 9-inch infotainment system, head-up display, 360-degree camera, and Toyota i-Connect with over 45 connected features.
The model has been available in India for six years, with over 200,000 units sold during this period. The Glanza competes in the hatchback segment with features such as LED projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and automatic climate control. Color options include Sporting Red, Insta Blue, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, and Café White.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor operates two manufacturing plants in Bidadi with a combined production capacity of up to 342,000 units annually. The company is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan (89% stake) and Kirloskar Systems Limited of India (11% stake), employing over 6,500 people.
The Glanza comes with a three-year/100,000 km warranty that can be extended to five years/220,000 km. Toyota also provides 60-minute express maintenance service and round-the-clock roadside assistance for the model.
