Tata Consultancy Services announced on June 20, 2025, the establishment of three new automotive centers across Europe to accelerate software-defined vehicle innovation for global automotive clients. The IT services company opened two automotive delivery centers in Germany located in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, alongside an engineering center in Romania, as part of its strategic expansion in the automotive software sector.
The German delivery centers will focus on developing and deploying software-driven services for autonomous driving, infotainment systems, safety technologies, and connected vehicle platforms. The Romanian engineering center will concentrate on designing advanced automotive software platforms to support early-stage development and innovation initiatives.
TCS positions this expansion as part of its comprehensive strategy to strengthen end-to-end automotive software capabilities and chip-to-cloud technologies. The centers currently employ over 100 professionals who will collaborate with more than 2,000 software-defined vehicle engineers across TCS global locations.
The strategic European positioning enables close collaboration with leading original equipment manufacturers and automotive enterprises through nearshore capabilities. The global talent pool will support development of next-generation automotive platforms covering digital cockpits, infotainment systems, advanced driver assistance systems, and other critical software-defined vehicle functions throughout the complete product lifecycle.
