ARAI Certifies Maruti Suzuki Wind Tunnel for WLTP Testing
The Automotive Research Association of India issues a formal conformity certificate under the upcoming nationwide light vehicle emission testing standard.
The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has granted official facility approval to Maruti Suzuki India Limited for its vehicle road load determination infrastructure. The certification permits the automaker to deploy its internal wind tunnel and chassis dynamometer laboratories for vehicle assessment cycles under the country's updated technical regulations.
The evaluation framework conforms to the AIS-175 standard, which governs the domestic integration of the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) for light passenger vehicles classified under the M1 category.
Dr. Reji Mathai, Director of the Automotive Research Association of India, presented the official confirmation certificate to Alok Jaitley, Executive Officer at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, alongside Akihiro Kuroda, Executive General Manager at Suzuki Motor Corporation
