The country's largest power generation company Tata Power has deployed 32 e-bikes and 24 cars, for operations and maintenance of the Mumbai distribution network, which is expected to result in savings of 1.22 lakh plus green kilometres and the reduction of roughly 80 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, as per a press note.

Sanjay Banga, President-T & D, Tata Power, V. Shirkhande, Chief Mumbai Transmission, Tata Power, and Nilesh Kane, Chief Mumbai Distribution, Tata Power along with other senior colleagues flagged off the utility fleet at Tata Power’s Dharavi Receiving Station in Mumbai.
