Tata Motors Reports 59,701 PV Units Sale in April 2026

Strong domestic demand and a 72 percent surge in electric vehicle dispatches support the automaker's monthly performance.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited reported a 31.1 percent year on year increase in total sales for April 2026. The automaker dispatched 59,701 units across domestic and international markets during the month, up from the 45,532 units sold in April 2025.

This overall growth was primarily anchored by the domestic passenger vehicle segment, which saw volumes rise by 30.5 percent to reach 59,000 units compared to the 45,199 units recorded in the corresponding period last year.

The electric vehicle category, which encompasses sales from subsidiary Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, registered a 72.1 percent volume growth. Total electric vehicle dispatches, inclusive of both domestic and international markets, stood at 9,150 units in April 2026 against 5,318 units in the previous year. International business volumes for the broader passenger vehicle division also expanded, with export shipments increasing by 110.5 percent to 701 units from the 333 units exported in April 2025.
