Tata Motors Launches 9-Seater Winger Plus At Rs 20.60 Lakh

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, launched the all-new 9-seater Tata Winger Plus on August 29, 2025. The vehicle, announced in Mumbai, is priced at ₹20.60 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is designed as a premium passenger mobility offering for the staff transportation and travel and tourism segments. According to the company, the Winger Plus is intended to provide a more comfortable and connected travel experience for passengers while enabling higher efficiency and profitability for fleet owners through a lower total cost of ownership.

The Winger Plus is powered by a 2.2L Dicor diesel engine that delivers 100hp of power and 200Nm of torque. It is built on a monocoque chassis to enhance safety and stability, offering a car-like ride and handling to reduce driver fatigue. Passenger comfort features are central to the design, with the vehicle including reclining captain seats with adjustable armrests, personal USB charging points, and individual AC vents. The design also incorporates a wide cabin, ample leg space, and a large luggage compartment to improve comfort on long journeys.

For fleet management, the vehicle is equipped with Tata Motors’ Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform. This system allows for real-time vehicle tracking, diagnostics, and fleet optimisation to improve business management.

Introducing the new Winger Plus, Anand S, Vice President and Head – Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, said, “The Winger Plus has been thoughtfully engineered to deliver a premium experience for passengers and a compelling value proposition for fleet operators. With its superior ride comfort, best-in-class comfort features, and segment-leading efficiency, it is designed to drive profitability while offering the lowest cost of ownership. India’s passenger mobility landscape is evolving rapidly—from staff transportation in urban centres to the rising demand for tourism across the country. The Winger Plus is built to serve this diversity, setting new benchmarks in the commercial passenger vehicle segment.”

The launch of the Winger Plus adds to Tata Motors' commercial passenger vehicle portfolio, which includes vehicles ranging from 9 to 55 seats. The vehicle is supported by the company's 'Sampoorna Seva 2.0' initiative, which provides services like guaranteed turnaround times, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), access to spare parts, and breakdown assistance. The company maintains a network of over 4,500 sales and service touchpoints across India.
