Tata Motors hands over its Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd

Tata Motors has started delivering its Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd, a company focused on green fuel retailing and logistics. This delivery follows an order for 150 trucks, with the first batch handed over in Ahmedabad on October 22, 2024. The remaining trucks will be delivered in phases. 

Additionally, Tata Motors and Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the supply of 350 more Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks.

Milan Donga, Director of Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd, noted that as a two-year-old start-up, the company is focused on making logistics operations more sustainable through green fuel solutions. He highlighted that adding Tata Motors' LNG trucks to their fleet is a significant move towards greener operations. Donga focused on the trucks' cost-efficiency and after-sales service, along with the benefits of Fleet Edge, Tata Motors' connected vehicle platform, which provides real-time data and analytics for better operational decision-making.

Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head – Trucks, Tata Motors, expressed satisfaction with the delivery of the first batch, aligning with the shared target of making logistics more sustainable. He highlighted the performance, efficiency, and low emissions of the trucks, which Tata motors said are designed to meet the operational and sustainability needs of Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd.

The Tata Prima 5530.S LNG is equipped with a Cummins 6.7L gas engine, providing 280hp and 1100Nm of torque. It is designed for surface transport and long-haul operations, featuring a premium cabin for driver comfort and a Gear Shift Advisor for optimizing fuel consumption and reducing operational costs. The truck comes with options for single or dual fuel cryogenic tanks, with the dual tank offering a range of over 1000 km, making it suitable for long-haul journeys. Additionally, the truck is equipped with Fleet Edge for efficient fleet management, helping to reduce the total cost of ownership.

Tata Motors continues to develop alternative fuel technologies, including battery electric, CNG, LNG, hydrogen internal combustion, and hydrogen fuel cell, offering a range of commercial vehicles across different segments such as small trucks, buses, and vans.
