Tata Harrier.ev Launched at ₹21.49 Lakh, Undercuts Mahindra XEV 9e by Up to 10%

Tata Motors, India’s largest electric four-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the introductory pricing of its new electric SUV, the Harrier.ev. Bookings for the rear-wheel drive (RWD) variants will begin on July 2, while prices for the dual-motor quad-wheel drive (QWD) versions are scheduled to be revealed on June 27.

The ex-showroom, pan-India prices for the RWD variants are ₹21.49 lakh for the Adventure 65, ₹21.99 lakh for the Adventure S 65, ₹23.99 lakh for the Fearless+ 65, ₹24.99 lakh for the Fearless+ 75, and ₹27.49 lakh for the Empowered 75. These prices exclude the cost of the charger and its installation, although an AC fast charger can be purchased separately.

The Harrier.ev is powered by a 75 kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-certified range of 627 km (P1+P2). The estimated range for the C75 variant lies between 480 km and 505 km. The vehicle also supports fast charging, with the ability to add up to 250 km of range in just 15 minutes. A lifetime warranty on the battery pack is offered for the first private individual owner.

The electric SUV comes equipped with a dual-motor setup, producing 158 PS (116 kW) at the front and 238 PS (175 kW) at the rear, generating a combined torque of 504 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, which is claimed to be the fastest in its segment.

For off-road capabilities, the Harrier.ev includes Quad Wheel Drive, six terrain modes, and a 540-degree surround view system. Ride comfort is enhanced by an Ultra Glide Suspension system with Frequency Dependent Damping.

Inside, the SUV features a 36.9 cm (14.53-inch) infotainment screen developed by Harman using Samsung’s Neo QLED technology—described as the world’s first Neo QLED display for automotive use. The audio system includes ten JBL speakers, JBL audio modes, and Dolby Atmos support. Convenience features include e-Valet Auto Park Assist, a Digi Access digital key, and DrivePay.

Higher starting price than BE 6, but undercuts XEV 9e and Atto 3

At this price point, the Harrier EV lands squarely against the Mahindra’s latest EV duo – the XEV 9e and BE 6 – and the BYD Atto 3.

Tata Harrier Price Comparison With Rivals

The Harrier EV consistently undercuts the XEV 9e across all comparable variants, with price differences ranging from ₹41,000 (1.9%) at the base level to ₹3.01 lakh (9.9%) at the top end. The average undercut across variants is approximately ₹1.28 lakh (5.2%), positioning the Harrier EV as a more cost-competitive option in the premium EV SUV segment.
