Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, reported its sales figures for August 2024.
The company achieved a total sale of 1,04,800 units in August 2024, representing a 1% increase from the 103,336 units sold in August 2023. Domestic sales rose by 5% to 87,480 units from 83,045 units in the same period last year. However, exports decreased to 17,320 units in August 2024, compared to 20,291 units in the previous year.
Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing, and After Sales at Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., commented on the performance, stating, “August has shown a continued year-on-year growth trend in our domestic sales. We appreciate the support of our customers and the efforts of our dealerships. As we enter the festive season, we are prepared to meet the increased demand and maintain our focus on product and service quality.”
