Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. announced on Thursday that it will reduce prices across its entire two-wheeler range following the government's recent GST 2.0 reforms. The price revision, effective September 22, 2025, will offer customers savings of up to INR 18,024 depending on the model.
The decision comes after the Government of India reduced GST rates from 28% to 18% on all two-wheelers up to 350cc and auto components as part of its GST 2.0 reforms aimed at rationalizing taxation and providing direct consumer benefits.
The price reduction covers all variants of Suzuki's scooter lineup, including Access, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX models, as well as the company's motorcycle range comprising GIXXER, GIXXER SF, GIXXER 250, GIXXER SF 250, and V-Strom SX models. Among these, the GIXXER SF 250 receives the highest benefit at INR 18,024, while the Access scooter sees savings of up to INR 8,523.
Beyond vehicle prices, the reduced GST on spare parts and accessories will lower maintenance costs for existing Suzuki customers. Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated that the company would pass on the complete benefit of the reforms to maintain its customer-focused approach.
The timing of the price revision coincides with the upcoming festive season, traditionally a period of increased two-wheeler sales in India. The company expects the reduced prices to boost customer sentiment and drive demand in the two-wheeler market.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, a subsidiary of Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation, began operations in India in February 2006. The company operates from its manufacturing facility in Kherki Daula, Gurugram, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units. The facility produces scooters, premium motorcycles, and larger displacement bikes designed for Indian market conditions.
The GST 2.0 reforms represent the government's continued effort to streamline India's tax structure since the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax system. The reduction in rates for two-wheelers and components is expected to make personal mobility more accessible to a broader segment of the population.
Customers have been advised to verify specific pricing for their preferred variants at authorized Suzuki dealerships across India, as benefits may vary depending on the model and variant selected.
