Suzuki Launches Updated Burgman And Avenis
Both models feature the same engine and underpinnings, now upgraded to meet the stringent OBD-2B emission standards.
The updated Suzuki Burgman series has been launched from Rs 95,800 and Avenis is launched from Rs 93,200. This update brings in new colours and complies with stricter emission norms.
Updated Suzuki Avenis
Available in two variants and six colour options
Suzuki Avenis’ engine has been updated to comply with stringent norms, OBD-2B. Barring this update, its mechanicals remain unchanged. The Avenis continues to be powered by the same 124cc engine that produces 8.7hp and 10 Nm.

The Avenis is offered in two variants: Standard and Special edition. The Standard variant is available in four colour options: black and red, yellow and black, black and white, and glossy black. The Special edition is available in two shades of matte: black and silver.
The Avenis is priced at Rs 93,200 for the standard variant, whereas a Rs 800 increment over this price will get you the special edition.
Updated Suzuki Burgman series
The Burgman series is available in two options: Street and Street EX
Along with the Avenis, the Suzuki Burgman series also complies with the upcoming OBD-2B norms. This is expected as the Avenis and Burgman share the same 124cc engine that produces identical 8.7hp and 10Nm.
The Burgman series consists of two models, Street and Street EX, the latter being the more expensive one. As a differentiating factor, the Street EX features a 12-inch rear wheel.
As for the pricing, the Burgman Street EX is offered at a starting price of Rs. 1.16 lakh in three different colour options: matte blue (new), matte black and bronze.
Whereas, the more affordable of the two is the Burgman Street which is further available in two variants– Standard Edition and Ride Connect with seven colour options: matte black, white, silver, green, stone grey, matte blue and black. This variant starts at Rs 95,800.
While both the Suzuki Avenis and Burgman models have been updated to meet the OBD-2B emission norms, just like their popular sibling, the Access, these scooter could also see a similiar update soon. The Avenis and Burgman share nearly all their underpinnings with the Access – which now features significant chassis and design changes. When these changes seen on the Access debut on these two models, expect a marginal increment in price and some visual changes.
